Amethyst (Ame) is a nypmh and water fae  who is trying to start a new life in Edenton after a string of bad luck. She travels there to meet up with Fallon  (who we met in book 1), her best friend. She meets one of my favorite characters Hayden within minutes of arriving to town. The chemistry that Brandy (author) invokes in this book is so sexy. She describes Hayden and the image that is in my brain is matching exactly the muse she has chosen. I love that Ame is strong willed and determined to stand on her own and not let any man control her. Even though Hayden is strong (Earth Fae) and determined to have Ame, he is forced to take his time. This creates such a romantic and sweet story line. 

Meet Preston- the guy who has protected Ame for all her life. I really enjoyed Preston’s presence in this book. He was like my little roller coaster not knowing what was coming next. I cannot wait for more about him. 

Ame has more trials ahead of her as she has denied most of her fae abilities and is now being forced to embrace them to fight Shadows. Will she come out ahead or lose the battle like her grandmother years ago? Brandy has done a spectacular job of continuing to tie the characters together with just enough mystery to keep me on the edge of my seat wondering whose love story is next. Oh and the description of Hayden without clothes on…well you will have to read the book, but damn I wanted some of that. If I could score higher, this book would get it but since the limit is 5 fangs, you have earned it!
