Felicity Heaton has written an amazing book here. This book has put a great spin on fated loves, paranormal, and conflict contained within. I have read many paranormal books with similar themes that always end up having layers of predictability and I had none with this read. The characters were well developed, relationships gripping and the sex scenes phenomenal. I cannot wait to read more about the sideline characters  and the fated loves for them. Felicity managed to add new, unexpected themes that worked well with the story and did not seem forced. I give this book 5 fangs!

REVIEW: A Tale of Two Kingdoms By Victoria Danann

 

Review:

A Tale of Two Kingdoms. I was given this book for a honest review by the author and PRATR. The author has done another amazing job with this series! I was so in love with the story I couldn’t put it done. Elora has to be the strongest minded character I have ever read! Aelsong and Duffy are destined to mate the only problem is one is Fae and the other is Fey. They are going to elope and move away from their families to live in peace with each other. The only problem is Alesong’s brother the king won’t let that happen. Will they ever be able to live happily ever after? Will Ram be able to save his family as he has saved so many other? I will have to say this is the best book yet! The Black Swan Series is wonderful! I give this book and this whole series a 5 fang review. Review by Laura McGee (independent reviewer)

I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.

Sammie Singleton is a girl caught in a relationship where she feels that something is missing. She has moments of fantasy in order to survive. Thomas Quidell is a man that has been helping his brother after the brother suffered a broken heart. He is also just surviving, as it is pretty hard to have a relationship when he is around his nephew all the time.

What I really enjoyed about this book was the “one that got away” theme of it all. It is not often that there is a moment that both parties really reflect on as a missed opportunity. I loved how the relationship played out in this book and the idea of second chances. The book had some great steamy moments, some frustrating ones, and some that were very hard on the heart.

I had a difficult time with the excess inner dialogue of Thomas. He sure is a Chatty Cathy. I wondered why the inner dialogue just did not seem balanced between Sammie and Tom. I feel like this book might have been better if it was a short vs full length and some of that excess deleted. I give this book four fangs as it was enjoyable, just did not leave me breathless.

Review for Beside Your Heart by Mary Whitney

5 out of 5 Fangs would have given it 10 if I could!

This book was given to me by the author for an honest review. Thank you so much Paranormal Romance and Author’s that Rock! for allowing me to review this book.

I loved this book, from the very first pages I was hooked and could not put it down. This book is a coming of age love story that starts out tragic but shows what great friendship and love can do. It is very well written and the characters seem to come alive on the pages. I love stories that I get emotionally involved in, where I root for a character because my emotions are so intertwined in their story.This book definitely had that. I really cannot say anything negative because it was that good.

This book is part of a series and I cannot wait to read the next one, I just wish that it was already out. Great job Mary Whitney!

I received a copy of this novella for an honest review for Paranormal Romance and Authors that Rock! I love novellas, when done right I get a great story that perks me up without having to invest a lot of time. Sydney Logan definitely got it right with “The Little Drummer Boy.” This was a super sweet and engaging holiday themed read that I was able to finish in less than 30 minutes. Author Sydney Logan does a great job of establishing the love between her leads Justin and Megan. When they come to the rescue of a little boy in need I actually caught myself going “Aww…” I highly recommend checking this story out. Quote: “His face is sweet and content as he snoozes in her lap. Her fingers continue to ruffle his hair, and the smile on her face as she gazes down at the little boy assures me that I have finally found the perfect Christmas gift for my wife. And I have a feeling I won’t be returning this one.”

 5 fangs.

As he got to the base of the jump, he noticed his front wheel was wobbling. His first instinct was to panic. Instead, he took a deep breath and counted to five to calm himself. All he had to do was make this jump. He knew he could do it. There wasn’t a chance he was going to miss it.

As he watched the wheel become persistently looser, doubt filled his mind. This is bad. Maybe I shouldn’t do this jump. This could end terribly. Man, you have to do this jump. This is what you have been preparing for. As he went up the jump and started his flip, he saw his front tire fall off in midair. A brief moment of panic surged through his body. He continued on not knowing what else to do as he tried to turn his bike around and land on the back tire. But the surprise of his tire falling off made his timing off. Instead, he landed on the ground with his bike falling on top of him leaving him in complete darkness.

Jennifer is a Registered Nurse, and she holds a Master’s degree in Nursing Administration.  She has 15 years of experience working in the Emergency Room and the Intensive Care Unit of a major trauma center.  While she is equally adept at all facets of patient care, Emergency room nursing is her passion, and is the inspiration for this story.  Currently, she resides in Southern California with her husband and their three amazing boys.  This is her first published novel, with the sequel expected soon.
