The pleasure room is a story about a young journalist, Felicity, who has found herself in a rut writing Obituaries and small human interest stories for her newspaper. Desperate to find “the” story to break her free and into the world of serious journalism, she has targeted the Mayor and the underground BDSM club he belongs to. Her source says that the image the Mayor portrays is all fake, hes actually not the doting husband and father the community sees him as. So, Felicity pulls a couple strings and gains a temporary membership to the Mayors alleged BDSM lair. There she meets Alistair, The devilishly alluring and owner of `The Porterhouse Elm`. Felicity cant seem to make out her feelings about the club, and has an even harder time admitting to herself that the whole scene turns her on. Then, Alistair amkes her a proposition. Will she accept his offer to explore the world of BDSM? Will she go through with her story? And will the the truth rip what they have apart?

This book is HOT! Its a story that makes you think… Oh My.. I want that too! I Loved it! If you are a fan of Fifty Shades and the Crossfire series.. then pick it up and enjoy the ride!

D.N. Simmons has written an amazing book here. We meet Felicity, a low level journalist with a dream to advance her career. She finds herself in a fetish club that was promised to deliver her the scandal story that will get her everything she wants. From the moment she walks in, she starts to question many things. When debonair owner Alistair seeks her out, she is irrevocably changed. Not only has the author managed to write two plots flowing in perfect harmony, but she has made me love Alistair more than  I loved Christian Grey. This book was amazingly educational around the BDSM culture without feeling like you are being taught in a dry classroom. Above that, the non-sexual portions of the book kept my interest. Most of the time when you have a book that has been written with such intense sex scenes, the plot usually wants to make you fast forward to the next sex scene and skim what is in between. That did not happen for me with this story, I was interested in both parts. I love the supporting cast and how everyone fits together seamlessly. Move over authors, D.N. Simmons has broken out of the paranormal with a bang and I love it. I am giving this book 5 hot fangs, I would love to read more about Allison and her journey that is beginning.  To put a final note, 10-13, you will have to read to find out what that means, but it was part of the perfect ending!
