BONDAGE IN THE WHITE HOUSE
Handpicked for an underground White House society, Jason Merritt and Zoe Summers are assigned to take down a sadistic leader through the use of blackmail, coercion and sex. Former CIA agent Jason must train his ex-lover for her role as a submissive in a dangerous BDSM sex tape project. Distracted by their tortured past, he’s unprepared for their reignited passion or his overwhelming need to protect her, possess her and do whatever it takes to make her his.
HE WANTS TO MAKE HER HIS SLAVE
Tough and tenacious Zoe Summers has tried to forget her former field partner and lover. She hasn’t forgiven Jason, or herself, for their failed missions. The BDSM training sessions with Jason stir up deep yearnings and sparks fly. She’s obsessed into exploring this realm of her sexuality, but worried it will undermine both their relationship and their project. Danger escalates when their target discovers the plan and devises one of his own. Now the two must fight and choose between life, love and National Security.
Sensual, dangerous, adrenaline-pumping…
I’ve never read anything by this author, but can honestly say I thought this book was pretty clever. Scandalous, but clever. I would never have thought this type of behavior would be associated with the White House!
After a disastrous last assignment with the CIA, Zoe takes a job at the White House working in the archive department. Little does she know, she wasn’t hired to work in the basement, but rather as a member of the FLC, or First Ladies Club. Recommended by her ex, Jason, the FLC needs someone with Zoe’s skills to help with negotiating peace treaty talks with foreign dignitaries who have been less than accommodating. Zoe soon learns that her role isn’t at all what she is used to, and that Jason, the man who walked out on her after their last assignment is all too aware of what she was hired to do and is actually on point to train her. What neither expected is how the other would react to seeing each other again, much less about the impacts of playing at being in a submissive vs. dominant role. And when the assignment takes a turn in a direction that places Zoe at risk of becoming a true slave to a dangerous man, Jason will risk it all to save her.
I won’t pretend to understand the appeal of being a dominant vs. submissive. Especially the whole pleasure through pain aspects. To each their own. The whole idea that the FLC could exist seems pretty far-fetched, but was also intriguing. Leave it to women to find a non-violent way to settle issues. I’m still not sure why Jason was chosen for the FLC. However, all in all, I think the author did a good job of building the suspense, while also addressing the open questions including what happened with Damien. If you’re ok with erotica / BDSM, and like suspense books, this is a good one. Definitely for more mature audiences.
