I enjoyed this book, but I needed I to be a little longer. It can’t be an easy thing to tie in so many backgrounds and current lives into such an intriguing story. The town of Snowbrooke is dealing with more than its namesake. Someone is killing the residents at an alarming rate, just about one each night. You’ve got five students trying to pass their high school English night class to further their life goals and their very odd teacher. This class is the only one still going on at night with all of the murders going on. These five don’t realize how they have touched each other’s lives or what that means for the future situation. I can’t wait for book two!

Chilling…A riveting thriller.” NEW YORK MAGAZINE
New York City is caught in the cold grip of a brutal serial killer who savagely rapes and murders his young, blonde victims. While ravaging them, his mind whirls with symphonic images and raging desires–rarely giving thought to his loving wife and child.
Young, blonde Zelly Wyche has a new baby and a happy life with her dependable electrician husband. She, too, is petrified by the madness and the unthinkable tragedy of the murders. While the serial killers’ sole survivor and a victim’s brother mount a desperate vigilante hunt for the “Symphony Slasher,” a chill runs up Zelly’s spine. She is beginning to wonder if the killer could be closer than she thinks. But no. Impossible. She has to be dead wrong….
This isn’t a bad book but you could basically tell from the beginning who the killer was. I’d rather read a book where it keeps me guessing till the end.Zelly has a facination with serial killers, with a 6 month old baby, she’s a stay at home mom and is married to Patrick. Patrick is an electrician and runs his own buisness. Zelly figures out Patrick is the rapist/killer pretty quick because who needs their house wired in the middle of the night. Plus the way he answers when she starts to talk about the killer. When he almost rapes her all she can think about is how he made the baby cry, what the heck, she should be thinking about more than that. I read this but it didn’t keep me glued to the book, it was sort of wordy and repetitive. Independent reviewer for PR&ATR. 3 fangs.

“Good morning Amari. Sorry I couldn’t wait,” Raya said. She pulled off her sneakers one by one, followed by her sports socks.
Amari held out her hand, inviting her across. Raya’s eyes lit up and she began to walk across the shallow water. Suddenly she stopped and looked down at her feet, confusion written across her face. Raya backed away, out of the water.
“You okay?”
“Err…yeah. Why don’t you come across here?” Raya suggested.
Amari did not hesitate, pulling up her dress to skip across the cool water, leaving her sandals behind. Once across, Raya grabbed her hand and pulled her into her. Both girls looked at each other. Raya’s deep green eyes shone back at Amari.
“You’re beautiful…” began Raya, but she was silenced by Amari who pulled Raya’s head down in a rough kiss. Instantly there was a connection, sparks of energy flew around them and Amari’s body began to heat up. Lips meshed and tongues played, dancing and teasing. Their hands explored and grabbed each other’s bodies to get closer, wanting no space between them.
Ray moaned into Amari’s mouth. Amari pulled away.
“Sorry, did I hurt you?”
“Are you kidding me?” Raya said, pulling her back into a kissing that almost hurt with the fierce passion that was behind it. Amari’s mouth sizzled against Raya’s; never had she experienced something this strong straight away. She pulled at Raya’s T-shirt, wanting nothing between them; skin on skin was her desire. Raya helped her out by holding her arms up and Amari pulled the T-shirt off. Underneath she wore a simple cotton bra that cradled her breasts. Amari slid off one strap and kissed the soft skin of her neck, then shoulder. She felt Raya’s hand massage the back of her head, keeping her in that position. So she likes to be kissed there. With a new lover, it was always a learning experience; what they liked and didn’t like was stored in your memory. She was enjoying learning about Raya. She pulled down one cup to reveal a perfect breast with an erect pink nipple. Raya wasted no time: she sucked it straight away and then used her teeth to bite gently. This released another moan from Raya’s lips. Amari smiled, looking up at Raya.
“You like a little pain?” Amari carried on sucking Raya’s breasts with gentle bites. She moved her hand down Raya’s front and edged it into her joggers and down to her panties, which to Amari’s delight were a little moist. She rubbed Raya’s mound, letting the tips of her fingers slide down further. Raya spread her legs a little; that meant Amari could reach further. Massaging that pussy was not enough, she wanted to taste. Amari grabbed Raya’s joggers, pulled them all the way down and then knelt at her feet.
Raya’s legs were long and toned, probably with all that jogging. Amari stroked them up and down, dragging her nails closer and closer to her bare pussy that glistened, inviting her to taste.
Moon Bound
“You’re stalling, so it must mean it’s time for me to leave.” Sofya spun on the spot, and Misty swiftly caught her arm.
“Let’s take a seat.” Misty pointed to the sofa and Sofya nodded her agreement.
“Raya’s father was killed when she was young, and it’s all messed up.” Misty took a sip. “He had land and somehow the local Were community were involved.”
“My father had nothing to do with that…how could you think such a thing?” Sofya put the cup down and made to get up. Misty reached across and grabbed her arm.
“I know, I know he didn’t. It was all before his time. But if the land was taken without proper permission then Raya has a right to claim it.”
“Wait, are you talking about the land that Wylan wants? He keeps bugging my dad to sign it over to him.”
“You know about all this?” Misty sat up, alert to every detail.
“Sure, I know there’s something going on with some land issue, and I heard Wylan and dad talking about how the Vamps were warning us or something…wait.” Sofya paused, looking into her cup.
“What?”
“Wylan was talking about the night I was attacked and how the Vamps were sending a warning. I didn’t get it at the time.”
“Hold on, that makes sense. Raya and Amari have worked out that somehow the Shifters blamed the Witches who had some involvement in a curse on the Weres. It looks like the Vamps have been using both communities for their own reasons.”
“Oh boy, not the stupid legend of how a powerful witch cursed the Weres who are now bound to the moon? Come on people.” She rolled her eyes. “Sheesh.”
“Each community holds on to their own beliefs and legends. For some it’s what holds people together, since you know a common enemy. You and I are supposed to be enemies, but when you get rid of all that bad history we are two people who love each other.”
“What? You love me? Seriously, like proper love?” Sofya’s eyes widened.
Misty suddenly realized what she had said. There was no going back now.
“Y…Yes I do. I’ve never felt like this with anyone.” Misty looked down at her hands, too scared to look up and stare Sofya in the face. She was worried at what she’d see. Rejection was not something she wanted to feel ever again.
“I love you too.”
The words she longed to hear came as a whisper. Misty looked up and saw tears shining in the eyes of the woman she loved.
“Really?” Misty couldn’t believe it. No-one had ever said that back to her.

Book Two – Coherent
When Braelynn wakes up in a hospital bed with a week of her life missing, she turns to the darkness that she didn’t know she craved.
Peyton Haas is self–assertive, determined to get what he wants, and for the first time in his life—in love. But is he willing to face the demons that haunt Braelynn?
Their love was like no other—steamy, heart–stopping… Beautiful.
It was the first time the either of them had let someone in. But one week was all it took to change their lives forever
Will their love be enough to keep them together?
Sinking into the depths of despair after losing a week of her life that she can’t remember, drugged and raped, Braelynn Wolf is devastated when no one believes her over the proof to the contrary. All she wants is for Peyton, Kennedy, Gus and Loren to believe her. She sees in their eyes that they don’t, which leads Braelynn to do what she does when faced with adversity, she runs. Losing her dream job, still having the drugs in her system, all Braelynn wants to do is numb the pain. Spiraling down into misery, Braelynn tries to numb the pain with alcohol, drugs, sex and men. Coherent is a raw and gritty story, not for the faint of heart. The depths Braelynn finds are pretty nasty, and more is left to our imagination. Meanwhile, Kennedy, Gus, Loren and Peyton are all in touch with each other seeking out news of her, as she has pretty much disappeared off the face of the earth. Even the private detective Peyton hires cannot find her. She calls Loren, her sister, and Gus to let them know she is all right, every now and then. When circumstances lead to Peyton finding her, it is not pretty, and Braelynn comes to the realization she doesn’t want to continue this way. Her strength of character shines through as she tries to get her life back together, all the while denying Peyton’s help. Livia Jamerlan takes you on a journey, a dark journey into the depths of mental and physical anguish, despair and perceived betrayal. Braelynn is absolutely not the same person she was in the first book; it’s not possible she could be. However, neither is Peyton Haas. His darker side comes out in response to the changes in Braelynn. Although I had an “Are you kidding me?” moment and was torn out of the book with Braelynn’s jealousy and how Peyton calmly chased after her, it wasn’t enough to alter my enjoyment of the book. It just felt, with all she’d been through and how Peyton had fought for her, she should have been way past that type of reaction. Coherent is a hot, erotic, sensual, well-written novel that will flay your emotions. It is not stand-alone, and I would not recommend reading it without having read Consensual first. 4 Fangs

Love can only withstand so much. The connection between Braelynn and Peyton has been tested before—could this be their breaking point.
EXCERPT
She lay naked on the white linen sheet, her golden blonde hair fanned out across her pillow. She had been my all, the one to come into my life, cause havoc, and claim my heart. She had been my everything. My greatest desire. The fuel that pumped through my veins.
The sun beamed down on her skin, glistening on her flawless fair body. Almostflawless anyway.
The marks from our recent times in the playroom were still visible, her wrists that were tucked under her chin revealing a crimson burn from her pulling on the restraints. Her plump breast scarred from the lashes of the flogger, and her upper thighs holding the same marks as her breast.
I was terrified at the pain I had caused her, but horrified that I wanted to cause more.
Braelynn had repeated over and over that she loved the marks and the pleasures they gave her. Since she had rejected my proposal, I began to feel that she was slipping away. The grasp I had over her was fading and my need for her had been replaced with rage and want. I needed to punish her for saying no, whip her flesh when I felt her slipping out of my hands. Though I was sickened once we were done, massaging the welts kissing them with my love, I reveled in her moans and her screams of pleasure made me hungry for more.
She had turned me into the monster I now was. Possessive, demanding, and hungrier for her than I had ever been. Her arousal when I slid deep inside her had me on the brink of losing myself. The way she came around me, choking my cock … it was indescribable. But when she bowed her head, her blonde hair covering her face as she submitted to me, that had my inner Dom crawling out of my body, wanting to take full reign over hers.
And I did.
For the past six weeks she’d spent every night with me, letting me have full possession of her weak body. But the nagging voice in my head kept saying that our time was limited.
“You’re doing it again,” she whispered, her voice filled with exhaustion. Her eyes peered open when she spoke.
I leaned forward, kissing the tip of her nose. “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” I lied.
“Yes, you do. You’re thinking so loud I can hear it in my sleep.”
“Lynn—”
“Stop it!” Her eyes flashed open, and a sea of green and brown specks pierced me. “You aren’t hurting me.”
I shook my head, completely disagreeing with her. “Look at the bruises on your skin.” I traced my hand over her soft breast.
“I have a safe word and I have yet to use it.” She pulled the cover over her blemished flesh and turned on her side.
She hadn’t used it yet…
But would she?

The Ilia Stone by R. J. Loom *Review
Posted by brriske
Nia Williams could never have imagined the way her ordinary life would be turned upside down after the death of her grandfather. A chance find unwittingly has her discovering the truth of an ancient Greek myth, plunging her into a world where the legends she only read about in her history books become her reality.
Plagued with a strange link to others’ past, she follows the path of an ancient artifact around the world and throughout time as it reveals its story to guide her to contain powers once thought lost to the rise of modern religion.
Two men affected by the artifact vie for her allegiance; Gabriel, a man haunted by his own past, and smooth talking Viktor who wants Nia to embrace a life she never imagined.
A love sacrificed… An impossible decision…
As lines blur between right and wrong, how much will Nia be willing to sacrifice?
I give this book 5 fangs ( I really loved it and can’t wait to read the next one!)
When I first started The Ilia Stone I had no idea what to expect Ive read a lot of books and with debut novels it can really be hit or miss. From the first pages I was hooked after reading the introduction about the Greek Gods. My intrigue was piqued I couldn’t wait to see what heroines and Herod this story would reveal.
I have to say I wasn’t disappointed I loved Nia the funny, sassy, brave and strong heroine. She never thought that one little decision to avoid a gathering after her grandfathers funeral would lead her into a world filled with magic and love, gods and war. Never in her wildest dreams did she think she would discover the Ilia Stone a secret immortals have kept to themselves to manipulate the world for good or evil. That she would become one of them. Nia is thrust onto a rollercoaster of actions and emotions due circumstances out of her control.
Along the way at least she has Gabriel an immortal who has tried to keep the Ilia Stone from the hands of those who would use it for evil. He wants to help Nia understand what this new life of hers will be like, but learning from a centuries old immortal that has lived a Lonely and tragic life is never easy. Throw in that he’s a sexy and broody alpha and its a explosion waiting to happen.
Enter Viktor…. Well he’s sexy and trouble but hats all I’m saying.
The Ilia Stone had me glued to the pages from beginning to end, I don’t want to spoil anything but their are some great twists and Nia Is able to really prove what a strong person she is but that doesn’t mean it’s easy or that she doesn’t get thrown for a couple of loops along the way.
I loved the chemistry between Gabriel and Nia there were definitely some hot scenes;)
RJ Loom does a great job and I can’t wait to read the next one. I would
Recommend this to anyone that loves paranormal romance or just a good read.
