Bite Me by C.C. Wood *Review

I had the perfect life; an awesome job in advertising, a gorgeous high rise apartment, and a flirtation with the guy down the hall. Then it all came crashing down. Two months later I was a cocktail waitress living in a tiny one bedroom apartment. I had also developed a serious ‘men suck’ attitude.
That all changed the night I met the beautiful and enigmatic Conner Savage. But there was just one little problem…he said he was a vampire. Figures a man that hot would be batshit crazy. Or so I thought. It didn’t take me long to realize that Conner wasn’t a nut job and that I was addicted to him. With every moment we spent together he drew me deeper into his world and the supernatural culture in which he lived.
Now I had a choice: the vampire I craved or a normal life. Couldn’t be easier, right?
1. Told entirely from Donna’s POV, in the first person. No Connor, at all.
2. Did not like Donna’s attitude! she flips backwards and forwards between wanting to be independent, and being dependent on Connor.
3. Donna has a potty mouth, real bad. And while sometimes its a good thing, here it was far too much.
4. it moves at speed. Like ROCKET speed in places! Too fast at points, it wasn’t needed.
All that said: I did enjoy it. Yes it moves at speed, but when it doesn’t its a great story. And of course I wanted to hear from Connor, I mean who doesn’t wanna hear whats going on in a 300 year old vampire’s mind as he falls and falls hard for the mouthy woman who struck his soul?? Cos I always want to hear from everyone, you know that!
Will I read the next ones in the series?? More than likey. Something is going on, something not made clear here, something bigger than the vampires and their society. And I wanna know. Besides that, its Donna’s friends who have their stories in the next ones, and I want to hear what happens to them.
