Bad Boy by J.C. Reed and Jackie Steele

Sexy? Handsome? Trouble? Check, check, and check.
Is he messing up my life? Hell yes.
All the signs are there: he is a bad boy.
Even his name is a lie. Too bad I married him. I can’t wait to get divorced. Does this make me sound crazy?
I know I should avoid him, run as fast as I can. However, when a harmless misunderstanding lands me in a foreign prison cell, my dear, lying husband is the only one who can get me out. Crap. I shouldn’t accept. But how to say no to trouble when said trouble is the one who makes me fantasize all the dirty things he could do to me?
A troubled heiress. A suspicious accident. A man of mystery. Throw in a contract to marry and stay married for a full year and there you have the mixture for an extremely interesting little story.
The heiress is likable but confusing, to me at least. I couldn’t decide if I wanted to hug her or slap her. The bad boy? Oh now, him I like! Very much. The way the author tells this story is different from most that I have read, also. The action is all in the past, with the repercussions being the meat of it, told from her point of view.
As an independent reviewer for Romance Authors that Rock, Bad Boy earned his four hearts with some steamy hot sex scenes and a really great male lead. Had I been a bit more able to care about the heroine’s feelings, I probably would have given it more.
