Till There Was You

‘Light always outshines the dark’
Haunted by his past, Lincoln Ryan abandoned his life in Australia. Retreating halfway around the world to the town of Newsham, he found a place as remote and cold as his heart had become. It suited him perfectly—for a while.
Till There was You”, is sweet love story of a battle scared war veteran who has faced tragedy and is only concerned with keeping to himself. Linc isn’t looking for love when he comes to the rescue of Lily, but she has been drawn to him since his arrival to their small town. What follows is a sweet story of finding love. Let me be clear, there is nothing wrong with this story and as I have said it’s very sweet and my heart goes out to Linc for the tragedy that he has faced, but I found the story to be a bit boring and somewhat predictable. I commend the authors for writing a story about what struggles so many solders face upon their return from battle and in facing even more hardships once they return. But it wasn’t enough to carry the story. The writing was descriptive and the characters had depth and I wondered about a future story about the sheriff, but I did wonder at times if two different people were writing due to some sections being well though out and descriptive and others strangely lacking. Overall, I rate this story a 3.5 hearts. I’d probably read another story by this author, but I don’t know if I’d go looking for his books.

It doesn’t come out on Amazon until tomorrow so won’t let me review until tomorrow I think. I will forward it on when I get it on there.
