A. Giannoccaro and Tamsyn Bester, writing as ADRIAN BLOOM, bring you a Christmas Short Story that will make you laugh-out-loud!
ChristMISSfire by Adrian Bloom
— SYNOPSIS —
That’s how this ridiculousness started.
Well actually, it started with a noise complaint and now I have a proverbial target on my back. Just when I think things cannot get any worse, I’m tasked with working protective detail at the Christmas Charity Ball – the biggest event of the social calendar.
Did I mention I’m the newest rookie in the bullpen? Or that I’m the only female officer working in Hastings?
What started off as an opportunity to redeem myself and be taken seriously amongst my male colleagues turns in to an auction involving frat boys with red thongs, me bidding on an infuriating frat boy with his own money and dropping my firearm.
It wouldn’t be that bad if I hadn’t accidentally shot the Police Commissioner, but I did, and he has the stitches in his ass to prove it.
ChristMISSfire is a short Christmas comedy written by Adrian Bloom, a pen name created by two authors who decided to step out of their comfort zones and write something new. This story introduces Andie and Noah, who’s story is coming mid 2017.

Owen is on a mission for vengeance. Exiled from his home clan in Ireland, he finds himself in a cabin in the mountains of California. There, he will train, get stronger, and prepare to claim his rightful place on the throne. But when his path crosses with an all too curious and sassy human, Amy, he begins to question his entire purpose. Amy stirs feelings in him that he thought died along with his girlfriend, years ago.
Amy’s mundane job as a local radio show host has her yearning for something new. Her days seem to blend together. That is, until listeners start to call in, reporting dragons being spotted in the sky. Amy is compelled to investigate, expecting to find a hoax. When her investigation leads to Owen, she finds more than she had bargained for. Amy’s quest to cure boredom is about to implode.
WARNING: This is book loaded with action and sexy shifters. This isn’t your grandmother’s romance book. Fabio retired. Let Owen enter your life. This book does contain steamy content. 18+.
As an independent reviewer for Romance Authors that Rock, I can only give this one three and a half hearts. It wasn’t horrible, it just wasn’t that great.
I had the best job in Los Angeles, working on my dreams in the mortgage business. But there was a problem – my boss was gorgeous. Sex on a stick gorgeous and the worst part was that he wanted me as well.
How could I?
There was so much more to me than just mortgages. I had a secret life that I kept from everyone, something that I used to build my future. It was something that I never expected would lead to love, particularly the man that I ended up falling in love with.
Will the truth about Amy ruin everything that she worked so hard for, including love?
This is a 30k words novella and this version contains some very HOT exclusive bonuses to spice up your Kindle (including the cover reveal for my next, yet to be released book).
This book requires an open mind as it touches some taboo topics that some may not be comfortable with. I myself found finishing this book to be a struggle at certain points as it did push my moral boundary, that is not to say that this is not a good book. The author did not play it safe and took some risks and for that I applaud her as it takes a lot to write outside of the “normal” guidelines. People will appreciate something fresh and creative if not a bit risky to add to their reading lists. Based on content this book is for an mature audience. As an independent reviewer for Romance Authors That Rock I am giving this book 3.5 Hearts.
Tempt Me Twice
by Eden Bradley
Contemporary menáge m/m/f with a little spanking
In this greatly expanded and rewritten version of one of New York Times Bestseller Eden Bradley’s fan favorites can a romp in the woods with two sexy men turn into a lasting love with her best friend?
Jessie has been in love with her bisexual best friend, Paul, since college. But he’s never made a move on her, and they both value the friendship too much to take any risks with it—or so she believes.
When Paul and his stunning sometime lover Noah coerce Jessie into coming along on a camping trip to Lake Tahoe, she tries to refuse, but their will is stronger than hers. She ends up in a tent in the woods with the two gorgeous men, living out the ultimate female fantasy as their first night turns into a heated tangle of bodies that continues for days.
Jessie knows the intensely erotic—and intensely emotional—experience must come to an end when the trip is over, but when it does, will she lose her best friend, or can friendship turn into something more?

Paul helped her to her feet, and his hand on hers was an electric shock—that jolting, that hot.
“Whoa, Jess. Hang on.”
“I’m fine. Just have a nice little buzz going.”
He grinned at her. “Maybe more than a little.”
“Maybe.” She grinned back, her body heating all over as he looped an arm around her waist.
A strong, muscular arm, and oh God, the way he smelled!
They moved to the tent, and Noah held the flap back for them. It was a large tent, almost tall enough for Paul to stand up in. Noah was already spreading out their sleeping bags, Paul’s in the middle. Jessie sat down on hers to take off her shoes.
Paul stretched, reaching out to ruffle Noah’s blond hair. “Anyone else tired?”
“A little sleepy from the wine maybe,” Jessie said.
“Me, too. A little.” Noah pulled his shirt over his head, revealing tight abs and a wide chest. A Japanese-style tsunami wave curved over one shoulder. She could make out his muscle tone even in the dim light of the single lantern they’d taken into the tent with them, and it was spectacular. He was spectacular.
It only made her wish that she had her own tent—because how could Paul not want to have sex with him tonight? But even from a neighboring tent, if she had to lie there listening to them have sex, it would be torture.
Paul stripped his shirt off, too. She’d seen him without a shirt before, but it was something she never got over. The lean lines of his body, his smooth skin, his dark nipples surrounded by a sprinkling of black hair. She wanted to put her mouth there, to suck. She wanted to put her mouth everywhere.
She curled her hands into fists, pulling in a deep breath, but it was filled with the scent of two hot men edged with pine and fresh night air, a heady combination.
Stop it. Time to sleep.
The men stripped down to their boxer-briefs as she knelt on her sleeping bag, pretending she didn’t notice. But it was impossible not to notice. Both were hard, both with impressive erections under the dark cotton. She squeezed her thighs tightly, her sex burning with need.
Oh yeah. Gonna die.
Paul glanced at her. “You’re not sleeping in your clothes, are you, Jess? It’s too hot.”
“Um…I guess not.”
She shrugged, wiggled out of her jeans, leaving her in her tank top and underwear. She tried to pretend they weren’t all nearly naked together. As Paul lay down on the sleeping bag next to hers, she could swear she felt the heat from his big body, his scent warm on the night air, and more faintly, Noah’s scent, fresh and all male.
How was she ever going to get to sleep?
When Paul leaned over and pressed a soft kiss to her forehead, she had to bite her tongue to keep from groaning aloud.
“Sleep well,” Noah said.
She lay in the near-dark, moonlight casting shadows inside the tent, doubting she’d ever get to sleep as she listened to the rhythm of the two men breathing and the crickets chirping in the night. It was hot in the tent, and they were all laid out on top of their sleeping bags. She was far too aware of the two bodies next to her. Far too awake, despite the wine.
Squeezing her eyes closed, she tried to shut her mind off, trying to rid it of the images of Paul and Noah, the two of them touching each other. Touching her. But they kept coming, one sensual flash after another, until she was soaking wet, fighting to hold still, to keep her hand from creeping between her thighs, spreading her pussy lips apart to find the hard nub of her clit and bringing herself to a much-needed orgasm. But with the two guys right there and not even the sleeping bag to cover her, all she could do was bite back a moan.
There was a soft sound next to her, and she turned her head. Paul had his back to her, and she could see Noah’s hand resting on his side, then moving down, over the hard muscle of his buttocks. She could barely make out much more than their silhouettes, the shadows of hands, but she could tell they had them all over each other, stroking slowly.
Seriously? They were going to do this with her right there? There hadn’t even been time for her to fall asleep!
Kill me now.

GENRE: Erotic Romance
Ronan MacAlister’s return to Glencoe, Maine reignites every one of Aileen MacDougall’s adolescent fantasies.
Ronan is drawn to the beautiful Aileen, who now serves as the manager for his late uncle’s business ventures. However, it’s not her business acumen he’s after.
Will being trapped in a remote cabin lead to a happily-ever-after? Or, will they discover they have differences even kilty pleasures can’t overcome?
Ronan retrieved the bottle of cabernet from his uncle’s stash and pulled the cork. Aileen was giving him some enticing signals…at least it seemed like it. Given his body’s immediate reaction, he hoped he wasn’t reading her wrong.
He busied himself with building a fire from the logs and kindling in the basket beside the hearth. Once he’d finished, he crossed the great room and drew the curtains closed.
Setting a romantic mood, are you? Ronan gave his pesky conscience a nudge and turned the lock on the cabin door.
The soft ‘ding’ of the microwave proceeded the heavenly aroma of pungent spices. Aileen reached for dishes on the shelf above her head, the stretch of her arms outlining her curvy figure, lifting her lush bottom. His stomach growled with an appreciation that had little to do with food.
“So,” he asked, “what’s for lunch?”
“Beef stew, salad, and homemade biscuits with butter and honey. I put the kettle on for tea and there are sodas and bottled water in the fridge.”
“I’ve decanted the wine. It should go nice with the stew.”
She graced him with another of her smiles. “We can eat here at the table or over by the fire whichever you prefer.”
He nodded toward the low table and pillows in front of the fireplace. “Why don’t you take the food over? I’ll pour us some wine and be right behind you.”
They enjoyed their meal in a companionable silence. Like Aileen, the stew was complex with many layers of flavor. The simple salad was all business and the biscuits and honey a sweet ending. The meal, like the woman who’d made it, stirred his senses and begged to be tasted over and over again.
He set his dishes aside and pushed the table a few feet to the left. Relaxing back against the pillows, he pressed the wine glass to his lips and turned his attention to the sexy beauty sitting across from him.
The glow from the fireplace played off Aileen’s silken hair, turning the reddish blonde highlights to pure gold. He wanted nothing more than to wrap the gossamer strands around their naked bodies.
She took a sip of her wine and closed her eyes. When she darted her tongue out to catch an errant droplet on her lip he nearly lost the last increment of his composure. Not having her…all of her…was no longer an option.
Ronan and Aileen story is short and sweet, with a dash of spicy. I loved that even though the book was short the characters were still very well developed. You could relate to them on a normally level there was no real craziness about the book. I do wish that book had a little more to it, but for a novelette it was a good book. with some very very spine tingly action in the bedroom with a man and a kilt! What can I say who won’t want a man in kilt??!!

Like most authors, Nancy Fraser began writing at an early age, usually on the walls and with crayons or, heaven forbid, permanent markers. Her love of writing often made her the English teacher’s pet, which, of course, resulted in a whole lot of teasing. Still, it was worth it.
Published in multiple genres, Nancy currently writes for four publishers. She has published twenty-two books in both full-length and novella format. In November 2016 Nancy will be celebrating twenty years as a published author and will release her 25th book in mid-2017.
When not writing (which is almost never), Nancy splits her free time between her five grandchildren. She’s also an avid traveler with Las Vegas being her favorite destination. Nancy lives in Atlantic Canada where she enjoys the relaxed pace and colorful people.

Zak Goodwin is a creature unlike any other; half vampire and half angel, and he’s having a bad day. With demons destroying his home, intent on stealing the ring he’s worn for over 500 years, a ring with incredible power, Zak and his team of warrior vampires are forced to relocate.
Georgia Pearce resists being labelled a psychic, but cannot deny that she has visions of the future. When the dark and mysterious Zak Goodwin moves to her town she is irrevocably drawn into his world, and all the danger that entails. And as much as the handsome and annoying vampire + angel hybrid intrigues her, dare she tell him of her vision…the one of his death?
Interview with the Author:
Q: Is this book part of a series?
A: At the moment First Blade is a stand alone paranormal romance / urban fantasy, though there is the possibility of continuing on the story in the future.
Q: What sort of genres do you typically read? Are they the same as what you write?
A: I read a lot of Paranormal Romance & Urban Fantasy, I’m a massive fan of Darynda Jones and the Charley Davidson series, she is totally my idol. I love a good adventure story sprinkled with romance, and the supernatural.
Q: Why should readers give this book a try?
A: Because the heroine is a badass, sexy and snarky and you can’t wait to see what she’ll do next. She is as tough as nails but has a vulnerable side that you’ll fall in love with, just like Zak (our hero) does. This is a paranormal mystery combined with a supernatural thriller plus a good dose of romance.
Q: What’s next? Are you currently writing?
A: Yes! I’m currently writing a 5 book series, called the Hells Gate Series. You’ll get to see Lucifer and fellow Guardian Angels in a whole new light, how the war between good and evil isn’t what it seems, and the truth of what really happened in the Garden of Eden. This series is more Urban Fantasy combined with mystery, thriller, suspense and of course supernatural romance. Book 1 is due to be released in 2016, make sure you’re on my email list to be automatically notified.
Q: Where can readers learn more about upcoming releases?
A: Visit my website www.janehinchey.com and sign up for the email list. You’ll get free books, latest news and releases plus other bits and pieces that I only share with my email list.

Georgia is one bad a** chic from the very beginning, but really shows how much of one as the book goes on. Zach is an ancient half vampire half angel who is drawn to Georgia after she “awakens the blade”. This story held me from the beginning. I found the main characters to be interesting and the author does a great job in describing every scene. I did think that the supporting characters had the potential to be far more interesting then they were and this is possibly one place that the author dropped the ball. Best friend Rhys is a perfect example. I found myself asking “why is he even a part of the story?” I didn’t feel that his character added anything to the story and that if he wasn’t there he wouldn’t have been missed. But on the flip side I think if properly developed he could have added a lot. My next negative issue was Georgia’s psychic abilities. At the beginning of the story I really thought more would have been made of it and again would have added a lot to the story. My final issue was that obviously we’re dealing in fiction and I expect some “whatever” moments, but the climactic ending and exactly Zac’s role in being vampire was kinda way out there and I didn’t feel fitting for this otherwise great story line. I rate this book 4 hearts.
**reviewer for Romance Authors that Rock***
My name is Detective Jarrod Granger, and you can say what you want about me. Call me arrogant, call me cocky, call me a man-whore, call me a renegade, call me a loose cannon. But one thing you can never say about me is that I don’t get the job done.
I’ve dedicated my entire rocky, sex-fueled, tumultuous life to bringing down bad guys. I may not be able to keep a relationship, I may bounce from woman to woman like it’s some sort of competition, I may screw and drink like there’s no tomorrow, but if you’re a criminal and on my radar, you’re the one who’s screwed.
So when a woman is brutally murdered, decapitated, and put on display like a snowman in front of an elementary school, there’s no other choice on who can handle it.
This kind of case requires someone willing to break the rules, someone who’ll go the extra mile. It requires someone cocky, someone confident. A loose cannon. Because only someone whose life is a boiling hot mess of sex, liquor, and violence will be willing to do what it takes to hunt this killer down.
Sometimes it takes a man straddling the line between sane and crazy to catch a psycho.

GENRE: Romantic Suspense
The world doesn’t know Cat Beckett, CIA linguist and expert sniper. She does her best to keep her skills secret, but when a SEAL team is ambushed in the remote mountains of Afghanistan she doesn’t hesitate to take out the enemy. After saving the SEALs, the third Spec Ops team to be compromised in as many months, she realizes someone in her unit is giving classified information to the enemy. She suspects that Peter Mitchell, her supervisor and ex-lover, is behind the betrayal, and sets out on a dangerous quest to prove his treason.
Lt. Ryan Heller, US Navy SEAL, is accustomed to facing death. When his team is attacked by Taliban fighters he thinks his last day is upon him, until an unknown sniper saves their lives. The prickly, green-eyed beauty handles a rifle as easily as most women handle a purse, but who is she? And what is she doing in the middle of a war zone? He is intrigued, and attracted, but his instincts and her piercing, tiger-like stare tell him to tread carefully.
Afghanistan’s Bagram Valley is not the ideal place to find love, but these two are trained to make the best of bad situations. Geography alone makes starting a relationship challenging enough, but caught between extremists and an unhinged, obsessed Mitchell makes it downright deadly.
He scanned the hills and saw a flash of movement as Cat said:
“Ten o’clock, gentlemen, 30 meters south-southwest of that huge conifer. See ‘em?”
Ryan adjusted his aim. “Roger that. Grady, you got eyes?”
“Affirmative, Reaper. Locked and loaded.”
“Fire at will,” he said.
He started firing, and a grim smile curved his mouth when he saw a splash of blood on the snow behind the man he’d taken aim at. The target went down, but like roaches, another took his place, and this one had a bigger weapon.
“RPG!” he called out.
The helicopter shuddered and left the ground.
“Got him,” Cat said, in a low, calm voice.
After the boom of the .416 it seemed like forever before the bullet hit home, even though Ryan knew less than a second had passed. He whooped as the extremist with the grenade launcher took aim at the chopper at the same moment his chest blew apart. The body remained standing for a few seconds. Then the weapon fell to the ground and the dead man toppled over.
“Nice,” Ryan said, firing in rapid succession as terrorists continued to stream over the rocks and down the trail like ants on a mission. There were more than a dozen, and probably more than that behind them. “That puts you in double-digits today, doesn’t it? Not bad.”
The .416 roared again. “For a girl?”
“Hey,” Ryan began, “just because the US military thinks a sniper has to have a penis doesn’t mean I do.” He paused, gave her a sidelong glance, and then lied through his teeth. “And I hardly noticed you were a woman.”
Military based with just enough details to interest those who like that and yet not so much as to interfere with the story for the rest of us. Mostly it’s just an action adventure romance novel about an extremely strong woman who finally finds a strong man who can handle her success. The action starts from page one and the twists and turns keep you turning pages and hanging on for the ride.
As an independent reviewer for Romance Authors that Rock, this one gets the full five hearts as I laughed, cried and rode the roller coaster of emotions.

When her high school Creative Writing teacher told her she needed to be a novelist, she decided to give it a try. Finally, at the ripe old age of…forty-something…her debut novel, Accidental Affair, was contracted and published by Black Velvet Seductions Publishing. Two follow-up novels, Right Place, Right Time and Her Sister’s Keeper completed the Accidental Encounters series, and Runaway Heart, a standalone book, was released in March of 2016. BVS also published one of Leslie’s short stories in the erotic anthology First Submission, and her fifth novel, Final Kill, will be released in late 2016.
Leslie is a war-veteran who served with the U.S. Navy during the Gulf War, and she was among the first groups of women to work the flight deck of an aircraft carrier. The final two years of her enlistment were spent on Guam and her squadron frequently deployed to Japan and the Middle East.
She learned everything she knows about firearms and tactics from her police officer husband, who is a weapons expert, range master, and firearms instructor for one of the most highly-respected law-enforcement agencies in the world. She has three boys who contribute daily to her growing number of gray hairs. Her two oldest sons are United States Marines and the youngest vows to follow suit. She spends her off-time (kidding…WHAT off-time?) reading, taking pictures, and sending lead down range (that’s shooting, for those who are unfamiliar).
