I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.
We start this book learning how Tremaine and Liz first meet. Often it is the worst of circumstances that the strongest of bonds are forged from. Liz has had quite the life of turmoil, causing mistrust of everyone. Trem finds her a family to live with but little does he know that family has deeply buried secrets as well.
I loved the connections in this book and fell for Tremaine’s bad ass protector mode as well as Robert’s devotion. Liz has the best of both worlds if she would let them in. The problem for Liz is how does she choose between the two most important people in her life. While she is trying to sort out her love life, she is also running from James (the most defile creature). She believes that her wards have been enough to keep him out, but will it all fall into place in the end?
Brandy has surprised me yet again with the romance in this book. When you find yourself rooting for certain characters, cheering on success, screaming at failure, you know a book has you in its’ clutches. I give this book 4.5 fangs and cannot wait to fall in love with yet another Other of Edenton.

My name is Brandy L Rivers. I’m a wife and mother of three with an
overactive imagination. I’ve been obsessed with monsters and magic for
pretty much ever. So I decided to write the stories that keep me awake at night.
I started writing at a very young age. It probably didn’t help that I
won the young author award in first grade, it might have started it all.
If you haven’t figured it out, I love to read. Those choose your own
adventures were an early favorite. Then I moved on to Stephen King at
10. Hey, my grandmother who I love dearly got me started on horror
movies at 5. Then by 12 I was reading Anne Rice. I read just about
anything, but I love my monsters and magic.
