But when he woke up, he was blown away at what and who he saw standing in front of him that day.
I enjoyed reading Seth and Haley story how they overcame many obstacles. in hopes that they can one day be together. this is a must-read book for anybody who Love’s Happy Ever After ending !

This cliffhanger was wonderfully written story. This tale is not for the faint of heart as she touches some very serious subjects that leave your soul weeping. It is even more shocking that parts of this story have resonate to the author on a personal level within her family history. You immediately get a sense of sympathy and empathy as well as empowerment as obstacles are overcome. I really would have like to see the story end instead of leaning into another book but perhaps that will answer some of the questions you still have in your mind as you read. Based on content this is for a mature audience of 18+. I am an independent reviewer for Romance Authors That Rock and am giving this book 3.5 Hearts.

If that book had been more like this one and I would have gone looking for more!! I found both characters likable and relatable. They were people you’d want to hang out with. The storyline was interesting and intimate scenes were steamy. I rate this book 5 hearts.

I loved the first book. Therefore, I decided to give the second one a chance. To be honest, I was very worried about how things would turn out for Arthur/Avalon and Alexandria. After all, we all know what happened to Arthur, Guinevere and Lancelot all those years ago. Nevertheless, I convince myself to let my worries go and give this novel a chance. I am very glad I did. In my opinion, Alexandria is no Guinevere, she has the soul, honor and devotion of a real knight and I admire her for them. In fact, I believe those were needed to break the curse of Arthur/Avalon and it could just be done by her.
There are several aspects about the characters that I wish to discuss. First, Alexandria, our heroine. As mentioned before, she is loyal, devoted and compassionate. I believe those are excellent qualities and they just made me admire her further. Nevertheless, I still haven’t gotten over the fact that she let her feelings be confused by another man. She should have known Avalon was the one right away! Then again, things would have hugely deviated from the old tale of King Arthur and there would have been no plot at all or maybe it wouldn’t have been as interesting. On the bright side, I liked how she was so willing to accept all of Avalon, including the fragment of his soul that was stuck in time forever (Arthur). I must confess that reading about the interaction of Arthur, Avalon and Alexandria was quite hard at some points. I felt like she was cheating one with the other and at some point, I believe the men thought so too. However, I later understood that Arthur and Avalon were sort of like Jekyll and Hyde, there was no one without the other. That, in my opinion, isn’t very conventional and I had a hard to accept it. Nonetheless, I believe it was original and fitting for the novel.
Now, Avalon and Arthur. These two give me a headache every now and then. I understand the love they have for our heroine. Nevertheless, I couldn’t help but see how the latter was so fix in Alexandria while the former didn’t want to let go of the past, even if that mean using the present as a substitute. Honestly, I think both were wrong and couldn’t and wouldn’t be right until their souls were joined. The past is important but also in need of the future. They both needed to understand that and it took them quite a while for that. I was getting a little anxious and desperate during the wait. Nevertheless, I believe things turned out alright for them. Sorry to disappoint you ladies, you don’t get your HEA here because we have a things book coming. You will get a cliffhanger instead. Don’t worry, it isn’t as bad as the one on the first book. In fact, I believe it was fitting for the novel. Finally, the jerk of Lancer. Your past life got Guinevere so it is just fair for you to step back and let Arthur/Avalon be happy with Alexandria. Sorry, I guess I stated too forwardly my favoritism for Avalon. Nevertheless, I wasn’t exaggerating when I called him jerk. This attitude was a little obsessive when it comes to our heroine. Honestly, I doubt what he has for her is real love. To be fair all the feelings in this novel are quite complex so I may be reading to much into it.
I highly recommend this novel to any fantasy romance and time travel fan that is looking for a story fool of romance, action, mystery and a spoon of hot scenes.

I do love my historical romance novels! This author rates at the top of my list now! I’ll be going after book one and the prequel both as soon as possible!
Excellent pairing of Scottish and English border dwellers for this one. Skirmishes and villagers who are accepting of any leadership that respects their rights. Written without the brogue, but to be honest, I didn’t miss it! Realistic expectations and misunderstandings on both sides made it a very relatable story, and just the right amount of sensual encounters made it spicy enough to keep my attention without making me flip ahead.
As an independent reviewer for Romance Authors that Rock, I gave this one 5 hearts swooning and sighing over a love story I’ll come back to read again!

Really cute romance novel with shifters and a demolition derby! My first in this series, but it was a stand alone so read fine! I’m adding the series to my TBR list for sure! Characters were well written and realistically portrayed, well, as far as their human characteristics lol. Awesome tender moments and steamy hot sex scenes add to the enjoyment.
As an independent reviewer for Romance Authors that Rock, In giving this one a solid four stars. While it was a fun romp in the woods, I like my novels a bit longer and intense. A great quick read for an afternoon!
