It’s time to team up in more than one way. Love, lust, laughter, friendship and murder…It’s just another day in this small town.
“Hello?” A strong masculine voice called out, “I was told someone was here waiting.”
“I’m here.” Rook responded as he buttoned his jeans and stepped out of the shadows of the overhanging tree.
“And you are?” The voice asked with authority ringing in every word.
Rook smiled softly. “The guy you’re looking for.”
“I’m the new Sheriff. Are you the one who found the body?”
“You smell amazing and yes I did.”
The sheriff cocked one eyebrow and smirked slightly. “Excuse me? Did you just say I smelled good?”
“Amazing, but yeah.”
“No, I haven’t.” The sheriff shrugged.

Collared by the Cowboy
by Susan Arden
GENRE: Erotic Romance (Western)
Bound and determined to break free of a small town, Mia isn’t about to let a little thing like a bondage club or a cocky cowboy stand in her way. Not when it means unearthing the truth. Undercover, she enters an elite world defined by sex, subs, and power. What can happen? It’s just for a night…
Out of necessity, Brandon guards his privacy. Tall, dark, and frowning–he gives Mia a run for her money when she almost blows her cover. He’s one hot piece with a very dominating streak. Think hair pulling, panty-dropping! He’s gorgeous, built, and makes her want things. Dirty, dark, and not part of Mia’s plan.
Brandon is down for the chase, and catches the dark-eyed beauty in a lie. The little researcher needs to be taught a lesson. Pretty with curves galore, yet it’s her smart-mouth that forces his hand. If Mia wants to learn about his club, he’ll teach her every dirty detail of what it means to surrender. To him.
Their raw chemistry is undeniable. Mia is more than a tantalizing and temporary diversion. She becomes the woman he can’t let go.
As Brandon and Mia explore falling in love, they reveal their darkest secrets. From the shadows, a stalker with a taste for revenge is just waiting for an opportunity to strike.

Little Red Dress
Dani called from down the hall. “Did you find a pair?”
“Operation stiletto was a six-inch success.” Rolling onto her elbow, Mia snagged the bag and pulled out the shoebox. In a few hours, she’d hit the doors of the S & L in these unless she took a spill—
“Here. Knock ‘em dead.” Dani commanded her attention with an outstretched hand. Over her roommate’s finger hung a hanger, and she waved a tiny scrap of red leather in Mia’s direction.
“Interesting. But no.” Her brow knitted as she stared at the crisscrossing laces of the tiny corset. “When I said outfit, I was thinking something larger than a rubber band.”
“This dress will help you fit in.” Tutting, her roommate thrust the fetish dress into her hands. “Thank me later when you land your first job.”
“By chance does that job involve a street corner?”
“Funny,” Dani replied. “You’re stalling.”
“You do realize that I’m the one who’s gotta fit into this little number. Operative word: little.” Mia rose and held up the dress probably two sizes too small. “Just where am I supposed to fit my boobs?”
“Okay, I can see you’re going to overanalyze this into the ground.” Dani snapped her fingers. “Let’s go. Time to change. Stat.”
Rather than waste time arguing, she’d just try on the dress and make her point when a body part or two sprang loose.

lifetime! Do you know how many aspiring fashion designers have the chance to
build their own line of clothing at only twenty-four?”
Yes, there’s definitely desperation in my voice, but there’s nothing left. I’ve
begged, I’ve pleaded, I’ve cried, but nothing has broken my father’s old-school
Italian demeanor. This is a last ditch effort to convince him to sign off on
the trust my Noni DiDominzio left for me so I can fulfill my career aspiration

I take a deep breath, knowing that I’m walking on thin ice. My father, Andrea
DiDominzio, is Italian through and through. He’s got the full head of dark
hair, the olive skin tone, brown eyes, and the man sticks strongly to his
Italian beliefs despite the change in times. My siblings and I look exactly
like our father, except for Antonia, my middle sister, who has blue eyes.
However, we all share the loud, feisty attitudes which we’ve inherited from our
father, his father, and his father’s father. Being the baby of the bunch, I
have to fight louder than the others to be heard, but it still doesn’t mean I
get my way.
I nod, “I would be doing the exact same as Carmine. He used his money to buy
the nightclub. I’ll be starting my career with Noni’s money. Papa, this is just
the beginning of what I can do with my skills.”

assure you Noni wouldn’t either. When you turn twenty-five, the money is yours

The man is seriously smirking at me while he stomps all over my dreams. I’m not

One way or another, I will have my clothes in a show in New York Fashion Week.
Just wait, Papa, I’ll make you proud despite not having your blessing.
I must warn you, though. These novellas deal with some difficult themes such as domestic abuse, violence and self-doubt, among other things. I must confess I did shout at some characters for withstanding so many hardships on their own. Nevertheless, the book has some very romantic, sweet and swoon worthy scenes that you don’t really want to miss. Now, regarding the last sister, well, she will be loved by all those that like the friends/acquaintances to lovers trope.
Another character worthy to be mentioned is the heir of the DiDominzio family, Carmine. I loved he cares so much about his family. He exudes this protective alpha male aura that will grab the female attention. Honestly, it is quite surprising that the author added the brother’s story. It is quite popular to focus in the story of the sister’s. Nonetheless, it is quite refreshing to hear the make point of view of the life in the DiDomizio family and all the expectations and responsibilities it entails. After all, who said that fairy tales, even sexy and dangerous ones, don’t always need to focus or start with a damsel in distress.

Does it get any better than male strippers?! I’m just saying… grab your copy now!
Lessons from The Great Depression make an encore performance at the Hamilton property as they try to stay alive…and sane. Where were you when the world went dark and everything stopped?
Awesome story telling by this author. College students dropped into a post-apocalyptic style situation. She gets you involved immediately and keeps you turning the page with action and a connection to the characters. Realistic scenarios and responses make you feel like you are right there with them from page one.
The ending was interesting. It could easily be an opening for a series, but at the same time, it is definitely a stand alone story. As an independent reviewer for Romance Authors that Rock, I gave it a full five hearts. Good for any age, I think some of the younger teens would not only enjoy this but maybe it would open their eyes to how good we have things and how easily it could all go away.

Keeping Kinley by Annette K. Larsen
He’s noble. She’s common. It’s complicated.
Kinley is content with her common life until a chance meeting with an old friend—a noble—brings the possibility of love. Though Rylan pursues her with a charming carelessness, she doesn’t dare hope that their relationship will be accepted. When Kinley’s livelihood is threatened, she is thrust into his world as a servant, but the Rylan she encounters there isn’t the quirky friend she thought she knew. Can she trust him, or will she be forced to accept that her dreams are only that—dreams?
My breath caught as soon as he said the name and my eyes searched his features, looking for the little boy I had known in the man that stood before me. “Rylan?” I breathed and he nodded, still with that familiar grin in place. “Oh…my,” was all my idiot brain could say as I took in his fine horse and his fine clothes and his fine eyes.
I probably still had pear juice on my face.
“How are you, Miss Kinley?” he asked with the same light in his eyes that he used to have whenever he would tell me about his favorite part of a lesson.
“I am…well,” I answered in a breathless sort of stuttering. “Very well, thank you. I hope all is well with you and your family. How are Lord and Lady Baylor?”
“My father runs his business affairs with an iron fist and my mother coddles the staff, so everything is as it should be.” He grinned.
“Good.” I had to ignore the grin so that I could speak. “And Master Welsley and Tayana?”
“Welsley takes life too seriously, but is ready to take over for father at a moment’s notice. Tayana is soon to be married.”
“Good, good. That’s very good.” It was so very awkward to be standing in front of this man who had befriended me as a child. How was I supposed to act?
“And what of your family?” he asked eagerly. “It was your brother, was it not? That married…”
“Princess Ariella, yes.” No one seemed to be able to say it out loud, worried that if they were wrong, I’d somehow be offended. I was used to finishing the thought.
He gave a crooked smile. “That must have been an interesting adjustment.”
I laughed, surprised at how succinct that description was. “It was a surprise and an adventure, and I really do adore her.”
“I’ve never had the pleasure of meeting her, but everyone seems to have an opinion one way or the other.”
“I can only imagine.” While most of the common folk had accepted Ella and Gavin, I knew that the nobility had not been so easily convinced when she’d stooped to marry a commoner.
He smiled, so casual, so comfortable.
I felt the need to fill the silence. His horse bobbed its head, trying to get Rylan’s attention. I pointed to him. “And who is this?”
He reached up, stroking the horse behind its ear. “This is Apollo. Say ‘Good day,’ old man.”
The horse actually nodded its head up and down. I was reminded of Herman, who I had abandoned.
“I should go.” I gestured awkwardly down the lane. “It was a pleasure seeing you.”
“Wait, can I see you tomorrow?”
My confusion made the corner of my mouth quirk up. “Why would you do that?”
“Because I’d like to speak with you again,” he said as if it was the most normal thing in the world.
“Oh, um.” He was nobility, and I was decidedly not. “I have to get Herman. My pony, he’s—” I pointed behind me as if that would explain my inability to speak coherently, then turned to walk back the way I had come.
Author Annette K. Larsen
I was born in Utah, but migrated to Arizona, Missouri, and Virginia before settling in Idaho.
Though I dabbled in writing throughout school, being an author seemed like an unattainable dream. It took me seven years to write my first book, Just Ella. During that time, I taught myself how to write a novel. Not the most time effective method, but it gave me an education I wouldn’t have received from a class or a how-to book. Something about the struggle of writing without a formula or rules worked for me.
I write clean romance because I love it. Jane Eyre is the hero of my youth and taught me that clinging to your convictions will be hard, but will bring you more genuine happiness than giving in ever can.
I love chocolate, Into the Woods, ocean waves, my husband, and my five littles. And I love books that leave me with a sigh of contentment.

EXCERPTS (Please choose only ONE to use with your post):
She was staring at a large poster of the ship as she was walking when without warning, she crashed head on into something, no someone. During her stumble backwards, her purse and portfolio went flying, scattering her resume, notes, and other papers everywhere. A strong arm reached around her waist, steadying her.
“Oh, I’m so sorry…” Lily said as she looked up into the most beautiful piercing blue eyes she had ever seen. They were the color of a clear sparkling ocean. The arm around her waist was firm and muscular, radiating heat. She was so close to him, she could smell the spicy scent of his aftershave, and her stomach tightened with embarrassment or lust, she couldn’t tell which. She was a bit dizzy from the sudden rush of sensory input. Trying in vain to regain her composure, she tried to speak but couldn’t find her voice. Heat rose in her face, and her cheeks were no doubt bright red as they often were when she was embarrassed like she was at this moment.
“No, it’s my fault.” His voice was deep and very sexy. “I wasn’t looking where I was going. Here, let me help you pick up your papers.” He loosened his grip on her waist, and when she was standing upright again, he released her. As the tall stranger bent down and gathered her things, Lily stared, dumbfounded. This man was gorgeous and wearing some kind of naval uniform. He had short blond hair. What would it be like to run her hands through it? Could the strands be as silky soft as she imagined? She shook her head and tried to focus.
This book is about Lily and Nick. Lily is still getting over her divorce from six months ago, and looking for a complete change. So Lily goes to apply for a job as a bouquet manager on a cruise ship. She runs into very handsome Nick and when he asks her to dinner, she finds herself agreeing, which is very unlike herself. Nick, is a ladies’ man who is used to one night stands. He has promised his father to straighten up his act, and he is trying, but he feels Lily is worth pursuing, even though she is very different from the normal women he is attracted to. Lily agrees to spend the night with Nick, despite her misgivings, but when she awakes in the middle of the night she feels it was a huge mistake. Now can Nick win her back over with everything he has going on in his family? Will Lily get over her divorce enough to trust again, and is Nick worthy of that trust? Read and see.
This book is great. WARNING: The book has sexual situations in the book. This is for mature readers. The characters seem to come alive very quickly. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a second time romance. This is also a great story for anyone who loves their bad boy makes good.
I’m giving this book 5 hearts
